Management Information System (MIS) is a concept, a mindset, which has been widely adopted by many groups of people. Corporates are the main actors on it. We may hear that some corporates spend a lot of money on MIS.

Government, which seems to be always left behind and keep resistant,  is now also trying to adopt this concept. The increase of government domain go.id  (ID, for Indonesia) may support that statement. However, I figure out that the concept of MIS in government sector tends to be mis-leaded. It focuses on how to build internet rather than intranet. They may think that MIS is at least similar to internet/website. (Read more…)

When I decided using a blackberry, I thought it was so powerful and suit my need. I loved its email facility, I like its GPS (satellite based), and I obviously need its browsing capability. Now, I think I don’t need one, why?

First, I prefer accessing my email on my laptop rather than on BB’s small screen. I am having internet connections at both home and office. My time with blackberry is wasting just for deleting emails which are not fully synchronized with my gmail.

Second, I prefer using a handheld GPS which was built for truly navigation. It has complete features for navigation and maping aplication. Blackberry is not in the list to do these tasks.

The last, it is true that blackberry has browsing capability except viewing youtube, the most-need content when I am bored.

Do I need a Blackberry? No, I just need an internet, a handheld GPS, and contents.

A friend of mine asked me whether I could help her to recovered her stolen facebook account. I am not a facebook enthusiast. However, I believed that there might be something to did that. I was sure that we could recover our Facebook account by recovering the password. The key here is our email that is used to register on Facebook. Unlucky me, her email on Yahoo was also stolen. She couldn’t log into her email. (Read more…)

Before deciding to create my own domain, I tried some blog engines; blogspot, multiply, and wordpress. Each of them has its own advantages. The last, wordpress, I think the most suit one for me. Its elegance, simple, link free, advertisement free, and beyond of that, it has many features. The most notable one now is post by email, almost exactly the same as running wordpress on my own hosting. (Read more…)
