Hannruf Communication Wireless Service
Hannruf Communication, a local and national-going-to-be company has offered Banjarbaru netter a wireless internet connection. It plans to provide disconnect-free wireless coverage for both Banjarbaru and Martapura. Wow, it seems to be a promising road map for Banjarbaru internet geeks.
I am moving to a new house. It located on an out-of-landline-network place. I used Speedy of Telkom for almost one year. It was good enough for personal usage except its cost for my monthly usage is quite high. Now, I have no choice but wireless. Hannruf and Arafah, the two wireless providers I know in Banjarbaru, were in my list. I am not going to describe why I prefered Hannruf instead of Arafah however. Even I heard Hannruf used to made thousand people disappointed for not being connected in MURI record chatting event. What I am going to share is how Hanruf treat me as a customer.
Applying for internet service at Hannruf was not that hard. I just came to Hannruf office and wrote my name and my address down. They told me that they needed one day for survey. Hannruf needs to do survey to suggest us what we need. It ranges from just using our notebook to using more advance antennas such as Grid model. It depends on how strong the signal at our place.
Next day, two young Hannruf guys visited my next-house. I was not sure what type of survey they did. I think they just had a look where my house is. When I asked “How far this place from the closest station?”, they said could be 1 or 1.5 Km. They also said that there were some stations close to my place. But, again, when I asked which station was going to be my node, they said when installation it will be decided. Hmm…. I think they do not need to do such survey then. Just put my house on the map and decided which station is the closest one and going to be connected to my antenna. They need see Dora the explorer which always use map for location-based navigation.
After paid the amount of IDR 1.5 million for grid antenna installation, they promised me would install everything I need tomorrow after I bought two poles by myself. No need to wait, I bough two poles for tower that day.
Fourth day, one of Hannruf guy called me and said that they were going to install the tower and antenna. However, I needed to replaced one pole with bigger one. I didn’t mind and asked him to just replaced it and I would pay the cost. However, he also said that total cost for installation was IDR 800 thousands. What? Did I misunderstand about the cost or they did not reveal the total cost I need to cover. I just said OK seeing no choice.
Fifth day, The two poles have been raised. However the antenna was not on the tower yet. Sixth day, they called me that the connection was OK.
Now I am using Hannruf Communication for this internet connection. As usual, I do some tests. The most important one is internet speed test. The result is as follow.

Speed test using http://speedtest.indosatm2.com
The download speed is high. I did several tests for my previous Speedy of Telkom connection. It had only about 600 – 800 Kbps for download speed. Hanruf has much bigger download speed on 1447 Kbps. For upload speed, I dont remember what Speedy had because I rarely care about it. But, 212 Kbps of Hannruf is very good enough for me.
Thanks Hannruf. I think your service (speed) is good. But the company has to improve its customer service satisfaction as follow
- The cost for overall installation need to be informed to the client even if the service, for example raising the tower, is done by third parties.
- I am not sure about guarantee. There is no clear statement that the company is going to guarantee that the connection is going to last for certain period of time. I have already bought the antenna for this connection. But for how long Hannruf is going to guarantee the connection. What happens if the company collapses, can we refund our money back. It need to stated in the contract.
- Oh, sorry I forgot, I and Hannruf have no contract. Just pay and get. I think it could be wise if customers and Hannruf have contract to protect each party interest.
- Hannruf needs a hotline 24 hours support.
That’s my experience using Hannruf Communication wireless internet service. Now, with the amount of IDR 180 thousands (about US $18) I have unlimited 24 hours broadband internet connection at home.

Hi Bro. You r totally right. The connection needs long warming to get a fix connection and avoid ‘limited or no connectivity’. That’s must be an initiation for next coming problems.

Mas Eko, maaf saya left behind my email selama seminggu lebih.
