Hannruf vs Bagus.net – Kecepatan vs Reliabilitas

I have been using Hannruf Communication service as my ISP. First impression, I got a very satisfied netting experience. It was my fastest connection I ever had. However, the story was not stop right there. After couple of weeks, its reliability was under question. Sometimes, my internet was good. It often served me more than 50 kbps in http downloading. But, most of the time, I even can not log into my emails which made me like in the middle of jungle.

I did complains. They came to my house… if I am not wrong, it was about 5 or 6 times in only one month they came to my house to respond my complain.

My internet plan was the most economical one for one or two computers. However, there is no excuse I was provided an extraordinary interrupted connection. What I wanted was the connection like my first weeks connection. when everything seemed to be OK, when the speed test showed speeds were 1400/200 kbps for download/upload. Sometimes if I did speed test, the speed was still not far than those numbers. But the experience told the opposite ones. The connection disruption might be the reason behind it.

It is now one month I have been using another ISP: Bagus.net. As usual, the first thing to do was testing its speed. I got connection speed was far lower than Hannruf scores. Bagus.net only gave me around 300/30 kbps for download/upload. However, my experience using both of them said that using Bagus.net is better because it has smoother connection. It is rarely get error in my Gmail, the one that I got often when using Hannruf.

Hannruf is much faster than Bagus.net which scored around 1,5 Mbps download speed
But Bagus.net is more reliable than Hannruf with rarely disconnect from the internet.

Finally, I decided to put reliability as my first preference instead of speed. Now, I am using Bagus.net as my ISP at home. Will I change my ISP back to Hannruf? The answer is obvious. If Hannruf improves the service to low end user like me, I will change my ISP back to Hannruf.
